Matt Hill

HEAD COACH - SUN DEVIL MEN'S TENNIS

Sun Devils Head Coach since 2016. Matt rebuilt the ASU Men’s tennis program into an NCAA contender .  Before joining the Sun Devils, Matt was named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year on three separate occassions.

Sheila McInerney

HEAD COACH - SUN DEVIL WOMEN'S TENNIS

Sun Devils Head Coach since 1985. Sheila has led the ASU women’s team to 32 straight NCAA tournaments, 525 victories, and 13 top-10 rankings. In 2016, Sheila was named the Southwest Region Coach of the Year by the ITA, as well as the Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

Dale Light

DIRECTOR OF TENNIS - THE BOULDERS RESORT

For over 20 years, Dale has been the Director of Tennis at The Boulders Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. Under his leadership, The Boulders Resort has consistently ranked as one of the top 10 tennis resorts in the world.

Jeff Geyer

PRINCIPAL - PAPAGO ELEMENTARY

Jeff Geyer has been the Principal at Papago Elementary school for 13 years, while advocating for PASS. Jeff believes that all students can learn at the highest levels, and that we need to continuously strive for excellence in the three domains of learning: Cognitive, Affective, and Metacognitive.

Joe Ragland

Director - Phoenix Tennis Center

Joe was introduced to tennis through a public, youth summer program held at a court in a neighborhood very similar to the Phoenix Tennis Center.  He earned scholarships to play on both Hampton and Southern University's tennis teams when he began winning satellite tournaments and earned the opportunity to go on the tour. 

Joe held a #1 national ranking as a junior, and earned invitations to the US Open and Wimbeldon.  Joe continued to compete into his 40s where he held national rankings.

Sparky the Sun Devil

Sun Devil Athletics Mascot

Promoter of all things Sun Devil Athletics, Sparky can be seen at almost every Arizona State University athletics event. Whenever Sparky isn't supporting the Sun Devil Football team, you can find him at the Whiteman Tennis Center cheering on the men's and women's tennis teams. On the tennis courts, Sparky loves to switch out his pitchfork for a tennis racket.
